Bang Woo-ri (방우리) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter born on June 24, 1983. A graduate of Chung-Ang University, Bang gained critical recognition after winning the Best Short Film Screenplay award at the 35th Blue Dragon Film Awards for her short "Mrs. Young" (2014). She made her feature film directorial debut with the hit Netflix nineties-set coming-of-age romantic drama "20th Century Girl" (2022), which was inspired by her personal youth and high school diary entries.
